An excellent kit which can be used to explain, demonstrate and calculate Archimedes principle.
Kit consists of:
- 1 x metal regular shaped solid,
- 1 x metal irregular shaped solid,
- 1 x beaker to collect displacement liquid,
- 1 x newton meter with suspension hook
- 1 x glass displacement vessel.
Please note that it is supplied without retort stand and suspension hook
- Key Stage 3 Physics - Motion and Forces: Pressure in liquids, increasing with depth; upthrust effects, floating and sinking.
- Key Stage 4 Physics - Forces: Pressure in fluids acts in all directions: variation in Earth’s atmosphere with height, with depth for liquids, up-thrust force (qualitative). Explain the vector-scalar distinction as it applies to displacement, velocity and speed
- Key Stage 4 Physics - The Structure of Matter: Relating models of arrangements and motions of the molecules in solid, liquid and gas phases to their densities.
